Manchester United were qualified for the semifinals of the Europa League after beating Anderlecht 2-1. A goal from Rashford on extra time was crucial. The semifinal draw will be this Friday.
A goal from Rashford on extra time gave United the ticket for the Europa League semifinal. With the 1-1 of the first leg in Belgium, the Red Devils, who couldn’t count with Juan Mata, were favourites. A situation they proved when Mkhitaryan scored the 1-0 on the 10′. A little later Man U had another chance to score the second one, but Anderlecht were finally the ones to score the equalizer just over 30 minutes. In spite of many occasions from the locals the score didn’t move any more.
On extra time a spectacular move from Rashford marked the difference. After beating the leaders of the Belgian league, United will know their rival for the semifinals. Celta, Ajax and Lyon are the applicants.
