ONE HOUR BEHIND

A happy ending to a complicated week

The win against Brighton in the FA Cup quarter finals allows us to take the last international break of the season with good feelings and a half-smile. Being in the semi-finals at Wembley, a place that I’ve been very lucky to visit many times, is always special and something to be proud of, because it gives you a real chance to win a very nice title with huge prestige. The oldest one in football. Our rival will be Tottenham.

Champions League and FA Cup: crucial week

This time I’m writing to you with that smile on your face that is the result of the two wins and the good atmosphere within the team. Those two victories were very different but both of them very valuable, and they make us feel optimistic for what’s coming next, which is intense and exciting.

Monday’s night football

This blog’s entry is an unusual one, since we play on Monday. I’m writing to you from the pre-game hotel we’re staying at, in London, where we spend these hours resting before our game against Crystal Palace. Playing on a Monday is a bit weird, but we will try to close the week in the Premier League with an away win.

A comeback at Old Trafford

It’s just a few hours since I came home from Old Trafford after playing Chelsea, a game that is special and will always be special for me. It was an even game, very intense too, and we managed to win.

Big week

I’m writing this with my mind in Seville where, as you all know, this Wednesday we play a very important game. Yes, I know many of you want me to talk about the VAR, it’s just a few lines below ;-)… The Champions League is back and there’s a special atmosphere around here because all of us are really looking forward to having a good performance in this great tournament.

A painful defeat but we must carry on

Unfortunately this is one of those days when you don’t feel in the best mood to update your blog, neither do you to read it. It’s not easy to write after a defeat. The truth is, after losing an away game you think a lot about it on your way back home.
