The Premier League on the horizon

This has been a different week due to the international break, but it’s now over and we are already focused on the Premier League, where we have one of the biggest games of the year: our visit to Anfield Road. As you know, this is a special game for the Manchester United fans.

Sometimes the score doesn’t reflect the game

As I’m writing this I’m feeling angry because the team played really well but we didn’t win… We drew against Stoke, as you know, and I feel that we were very close to get the third win in eight days.

Exactly what we needed

Today I’m writing at the end of a quiet and happy Sunday, the day that follows a good and convincing victory. After a week that had been complicated, two wins –in the EFL Cup and against Leicester– are the best proof of the team’s reaction. As I said, this game is exactly what we needed, and that’s why it has been a relaxing day.

There’s no time for mourning

Today, I believe there’s no need to start by describing how frustrated we feel in the team after losing at Watford. To be honest, after the 1-1 we really thought we were going to win the game. We had scored and we were playing near Watford’s box. However, it was precisely in that good moment that they scored again and since then until the final whistle they were in better control of the situation, and we lost the three points. It was an unexpected disappointment.

Still a long way to go

We have suffered the first defeat of the season and, after the initial disappointment, I think there is no time for mourning. On the contrary, it’s time to analyse the aspects of our game that we need to improve, and carry on with hope and motivation. It was an important game, but let’s be realistic: the season has just started and there is still a long way to go.
