Juan, ambassador of the brand IWC Schaffhausen and the Laureus Foundation, visited the kids that are part of this initiative. “I’m very happy to have spent some time with these little born fighters”, has declared.
Juan Mata visited the Princesa Sofía Special Education Public School to spend a few hours with the kids from the project “Young Athletes”, promoted by Laureus Foundation Spain and Special Olympics. The initiative, present in seven schools of special education in Spain, helps children -between 2 and 7 years- with intellectual disabilities. The project uses sport as a tool to improve their physical and sensorial abilities. The project is also supported by the watch brand IWC Schaffhausen.
The United international, ambassador of the brand IWC Schaffhausen and Laureus Spain, has participated in the sports activities organised for the kids. Juan was more than happy to collaborate: “I’m glad to have spent some time with these little born fighters. It is unbelievable the hard work the Laureus Foundation makes all around the world and the amount of children they help to have a better life”.
On the other hand, Gabriel Masfurroll, president of the Laureus Foundation Spain, said: “I’d like to thank Mata’s presence today, supporting one of the foundation projects. A project that seeks, through sport, to improve the physical and intellectual health working with kids at a very young age”.
Carla Palou, marketing director of the brand, commented: “We are quite proud to help, once more, the Laureus Foundation in this nice project. We are aware of the Sport importance as a tool to change many aspects of our society. However, having the support of a footballer like Juan Mata, makes it even more special”.
