Juan started the game on the bench, but Silva injury gave him the chance to play the game. Juan came on in the ninth minute and disputed the rest of the game until the final whistle at Las Gaunas.
The United player is becoming important in the National Team as a result of his great moment in the Premier. As in United, Juan played on the right although he moved forward to the attack positions constantly. He did not score nor created any opportunity, but he was proactive. Juan completed 50 fifty passes out of the 56 he tried and also gave options constantly to Cesc, Pedro or Cazorla. As usual Mata showed his guile with precise touches and controls.
