Juan Mata, recently named Player of the Month for ManU, started on the bench. Mourinho made some changes to the game against Burnley. The first half was not good, and Juan came in on the second half (1-0 on the score).
After the break, United started far better. Mata had a chance, but his shot went wide. Shortly after, the local team made the 2-0 and were on their way to a victory. A great goal from Rooney spiced up the game in the last minutes, but the visitors could not avoid defeat. United still have options for qualification, but they need to win the two remaining matches in the group stage, against Feyenoord at Old Trafford and Zorya Luhansk in Ukraine.
