Manchester United continued with its winning run in the Premier League. The Red Devils, with Juan Mata in the starting XI, won Newcastle (0-2) at St. James’ Park and achieved the fourth consecutive win in the competition. Lukaku (64 min) and Rashford (80 min) made the goals for the visitors.

Juan faced a rival who brought him great memories. In his previous encounters against Newcastle he had scored four goals and assisted four times. Among those goals, the masterful free kick that started United’s comeback last October. In the local bench, was Rafa Benítez, coach with whom he lifted the Europa League in 2013 performing at an outstanding level. This time, Mata, although he did not score or assist, was again important for the attack of ManU. He made two key passes that could have finished in goal.

Tottenham on 13 January will be the next opponent in the Premier League but before that Manchester United will debut in the FA Cup 2018/19 on Saturday hosting Reading at Old Trafford.
