Valencia holds United in an intense game

Manchester United’s second game of the group stage of the Champions League against Valencia ended in a goalless draw.

The game was intense, the two teams had similar possession of the ball although the Red Devils took more shots on goal against a rival that showed a good image at Old Trafford.

In the first half, under David Beckham’s attention who was in the stands, United showed themselves ambitious and incisive. In front of them, Valencia that never gave up.

After the break, much of the same, although Rashford nearly tipped the balance in United’s favour after a free-kick that hit the crossbar. United lies second of the group H with four points in two games.

The next match for United will be next Saturday against Newcastle, managed by Rafa Benítez with whom Mata worked at Chelsea.
