Wanderers Earn a Draw in Melbourne

Western Sydney Wanderers earned a point on their visit to Ironbark Fields in Melbourne (1-1). Juan Mata played 62 minutes in his first game as a starter.

The Spaniard helped his team to have more ball possession from the start, giving everything to the attacking play. After a quarter of an hour, the Wanderers took the lead with a goal by Borrello, going into the break with the advantage. However, at the start of the second half, Western United equalized with a goal from Ibusuki. There would be no more goals in an even match with chances for both teams.

Juan excelled in passing, with a 92% success rate and five good balls into the box. On matchday three, Western Sydney Wanderers will host Adelaide United (2 November).
