United, with Mata once more in the line-up, could not overcome the 2-0 from the first leg of the last 16 of the Europa League. Despite being eliminated from this competition, United still have the FA Cup and the Premier.

\nManchester United drew 1-1 against Liverpool at Old Trafford could not overcome the first leg result (2-0) and was eliminated from the Europa League. The local team, with Mata in the line-up, played a great first half, but Coutinho\u00b4s equaliser before the first half killed United hopes.<\/p>\n

ManU started with a good pace and it did not take long until United approached Mignolet\u00b4s goal with danger. Juan had one of the first chances with a volley that went wide. 10 minutes later Martial scored from the penalty spot, a goal that boosted the morale for a while. <\/p>\n

Mata, as usual showed his pass effectiveness but he was not involved in any of the decisive actions. The elimination leaves United with the FA Cup (where they will play the replay against West Ham) and the Premier (with the fourth place so close). <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
