ManU was held to a goalless draw against Hull (0-0) and lost the opportunity to shorten the gap with the top positions of the Premier League. Juan had a fantastic chance but a stunning Jakupovic denied the Spaniard.
Manchester United dropped two points at Old Trafford against Hull (0-0). Juan Mata and the rest of the team tried hard until the end but were held by the defence and a inspired Jakupovic. Hull´s keeper, amongst other, made a brilliant save on the line to Mata´s effort inside the keepers box in the 73 minute.
Apart from this occasion, Mata participated in some other chance. In stoppage time, a cross from the Asturian, deflected by Pogba, was headed by Rojo but Jakupovic, once more, blocked the ball and secured a point for his team.
Juan, who came on the pitch substituting Mkhitaryan in the 61 minute, was very active, although any effort from him or his team-mates was enough to win the game. United stays four points behind the fourth place and travels to Leicester this week end with the urge for a win. United has a run of 14 games unbeaten (in the Premier League), the best of the season so far, but so many draws are a burden to its progression.
