Manchester United closed the last friendly of the preseason with a victory over Sampdoria (2-1) with a goal from Mata. The Spanish international played the second half, where he was very proactive and decided the game with a strike with his left foot after Martial’s pass.
The English side, in which Nemanja Matic made his debut, controlled most of the game and left a sweet taste on the whole. The Armenian Mkhitaryan opened the score with a header and with that result both teams reached the break. In the second half the Italian team levelled with a goal from Praet, but United started to played better and created chances until Juan Mata netted home with an effort with his left foot. At the moment, the Asturian is the ‘Red Devil’ with more goals in Mourinho’s squad.

Now United fans are focused in the European Supercup their team will play on the 8th Aug against Real Madrid in Skopje. The first European title of the season will be decided at the Macedonian Capital.
