Manchester United qualified for the last 16 of the Carabao Cup after beating Burton Albion at Old Trafford (4-1). The Red Devils, current champions of the competition, controlled the game from the start. Rashford (2), Lingard and Martial were the scorers against a team that plays in the Championship.

Juan, in the line-up, was once again a talisman for United. All the games in which he has started this season have ended in ManU victory, some of them by thrashing the rival. For the second consecutive game, the Asturian hit the post in his attempt to score a beautiful goal. On this occasion, he fired at the wood after he nutmeged the defender. In the second part, with the match decided, Mata was replaced by Luke Shaw, already recovered from his injury. Mourinho will need him fresh for the next challenges ahead.
