Western Sydney Wanderers achieved their first away win by beating Melbourne City (0-2). Juan Mata’s side move up to seventh place in the Australian A League with these three points.
The game was very even in the first half, with chances for both teams, until Milanovic got the visitors ahead just before half time. When the match restarted, Melbourne City piled on the pressure in search of an equaliser but the entrance of Juan Mata gave the Wanderers some air and they managed to double their lead with a goal from Antonsson. The score remained unchanged, giving the visitors an important three points.
