A hard-won point

United and Liverpool played out a goaless draw at Anfield in the last game of game week eight. Juan Mata did not played. De Gea’s performance was key in the second half.

Manchester United drew at Anfield (0-0). The Red Devils, not including Juan Mata, got a point from one of the most difficult grounds in the Premier. ManU held Liverpool in the first half but David de Gea came to the rescue in the second.

Mata, who had a great record against Liverpool (three goals and two assists in the last four ties against the Reds), was on the bench and did not play. An unusual circumstance that could be explained due to United’s busy calendar. As it happens, United will play Fenerbahce at Old Trafford this Thursday and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
