A great pass from United nº 8 to Gomes finished in the final 1-2 against Tottenham. Juan, who played the second half, wore the captain´s armband. Manchester United has won four out of four friendly games played to date.
Manchester United continued their winning run this pre-season with a victory over Tottenham Hotspur 1-2, current runner-up of the Champions League. The game, played at the Hongkou Stadium in Shanghai, was decided in the final gasp thanks to a combination between Juan Mata and Angel Gomes. This victory adds up to the other three achieved against Perth Glory, Leeds United and Inter.
The clash against Tottenham was the second game for ManU in the International Champions Cup. The Red Devils took the lead thanks to Martial goal in the minute 21. The French striker with a goal and a shot that hit the post was the protagonist in the first half. After the break, came Mata´s turn. Wore the captain´s armband and was decisive after Lucas Moura equaliser. In the 80th minute linked up brilliantly with Gomes. His pass left the young midfielder unmarked, who skilfully past Gazzaniga.

At the end of the game, Angel Gomes recognised he practised with Juan during training. Manchester United will rest until Tuesday 30 of July,when they will face Kristiansund at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.
