Juan Mata’s Western Sydney Wanderers took the victory in their visit to Brisbane (0-1). The Spaniard provided the winning goal from a corner in what is his third assist of the season before leaving the field with muscular discomfort.
After beating Sydney FC a few days ago, Brisbane Road were looking to confirm their improvement against the Wanderers, but Mata’s side got the win thanks to their better start to the game. In the eighth minute, Kraev headed home from Juan Mata’s corner to put the visitors ahead. The scoreline remained unchanged despite chances for both sides, especially in the second half.
