Fantastic performance at Stamford Bridge

Diego Costa late equaliser denied United win. Juan, once more played behind the strikers and was the brain of the team in attack for ManU. In his return to his former club he had a pass accuracy of 94 %. He was named “Man of the Match”.

Manchester United grabbed a point in its visit to Stamford Bridge. Diego Costa, in stoppage time, cancelled out Lingard´s goal. Juan returned to Stamford Bridge, his former club. He did as a starter, his 25th start in the Premier this season. No other teamate has participated in all the games of the local competition. Just before the end, he was replaced by Ander and received a great ovation from the Blue fans. He scored a 94% pass accuracy -the highest percentage among of ManU- and four key passes. He was named “Man of the Match”.

Juan Mata, played once more behind the strikers, triying to stay away from Mikel and Matic, Chelsea midfielders. Lingard and Martial on each the wing and Rooney was again the most advanced player. United took control early in the game, although the Blues stay put and did not concede any spaces.

Lingard stunning goal, provoked a diferent second half with a more offensive Chelsea and a fantastic De Gea. Despite the dissapointment, United performance was encouraging at Stamford Bridge. “We have played very well although Chelsea never gave up and scored a late eaqualiser” said Mata at the end of the game.
