Goals galore at Cardiff in Solskjaer debut

Manchester United, in its first game with the Norwegian on the bench, crushed the rival in the Welsh capital (1-5). Rashford, Ander, Martial and Lingard (twice) made the goals for the Red Devils. On 26 December, United will host Huddersfield at Old Trafford.

Manchester United started Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stage on the bench with a notorious victory at Cardiff City Stadium (1-5). Rashford (minute 3), Ander (29´), Martial (41´) and Lingard (57´-penalty- and 90´) scored the goals for the visitors, who performed at a very good level. Camarasa, from the penalty spot, made the local goal.

It was the coincidence that Juan Mata debuted with United, in January 2014, against Cardiff, a team trained by Solskjaer at that time. ManU won 2-0. Almost five years later, the Spaniard again coincided with the Norwegian in a match against the Welsh side, but this time on the same side. Mata did not participate in the victory, but he hopes to be important under Ole Gunnar, as he has been with the previous managers of ManU´s bench.

With Xmas round the bend, United faces with good feelings the string of games ahead these dates in English football. The next appointment for United will be on 26 December against Huddersfield Town at Old Trafford.
