Manchester United rallied from 0-2 at Old Trafford and qualified for the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Rashford, from the penalty spot in the 94th minute, made the final 1-3. Lukaku scored the other two goals for the Red Devils, who have won nine consecutive games as visitors.
Manchester United achieved a historic victory at the Parc des Princes (1-3) and reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League. After the 0-2 of the first leg, the tie was even more complicated, but Solskjaer´s men believed in the comeback from the first moment. Lukaku scored the 0-1 just beginning, although Bernat’s goal dented ManU options. It was Lukaku again who beat Buffon in the 30th minute and left the qualification for the next round within reach. Rashford, from the penalty spot, made the 1-3 and sealed the victory in the 94th minute. The penalty was given by VAR.
With ten players of the first team out (Juan Mata among them), United achieved something that nobody had done: overcome a Champions League tie after losing at home in the first leg by two or more goals difference. On the other hand, ManU has achieved nine consecutive wins as a visitor (with 23 goals and only four conceded).
1 – Manchester United are the first team in Champions League history to progress to the next round having lost by two or more goals at home in the first leg of a knockout match. Incredible. #PSGMUN
