Manchester United is already in the semifinals of the Carabao Cup. The Red Devils won Colchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford and now they will face Manchester City in the semi-finals of the tournament, in a new derby that promises to be exciting.
Juan Mata, who´d been in the starting XI for the second time in the last three games, had a good performance. As shows his nomination – by the club´s TV pundits – for best United player of the match along with Maguire and Rashford, who finally won the vote.
The Spanish international stayed close to 90% of passes completed, took three shots on goal and participated in the third goal of the night, with a nice pass to Rashford who set it up for Martial’s finish (minute 61). Earlier, the goals from Rashford himself (51min) and Jackson with an own goal (56min) eased the qualification, after a first half in which Colchester, despite its inferior category (League Two), was competitive.
