Manchester United won Reading 2-0 in the third round of the FA Cup. Juan, from the penalty spot, made the 1-0. United’s number 8 adds 10 goals and 11 assists in 28 games in the tournament. United always wins in the FA Cup when the Asturian is in the line-up.

ManU qualified for the fourth round of the FA Cup as they beat Reading 2-0 at Old Trafford, with Juan Mata as protagonist. The Spanish international eased the game with a goal from the penalty spot in the 22 minute, given by VAR, after he was fouled inside the area. Lukaku, just before the break, made the second for United.

Against Reading, a team that Mata scored back in 2013 wearing the Chelsea kit, the Asturian reached double figures, 10 goals and 11 assists in 28 games in the FA Cup (24 as a starter).

The FA Cup is a special tournament as ManU has won all the games in which Mata has been in the line-up (13). Mata will seek to win the tournament for the third time after lifting the trophy in 2012 and 2016.
