Leadership must wait

Manchester United drew 1-1 to Leicester with Juan Mata as a starter. Juan ended up with 95% of passing accuracy, the best of the team.

Manchester United drew on their visit to King Power Stadium (1-1). Juan Mata played 90 minutes in a complicated match for the Red Devils, in which Leicester proved that their position isn’t just a matter of luck, they deserve it.

After being on the bench in Champions League, Juan was a starter again. He has been a starter in all Premier games this season. As happened when playing against Watford, Mata moved throughout the playmaker’s position, with Carrick and Schweinsteiger covering his back as midfielders. Both goals came on the first half. Vardy got Leicester ahead and Schweinsteiger scored the equalizer just before half time.

On the second half, United had the initiative but couldn’t create any danger to Schmeichel. Juan ended up the game with a 95% of passing accuracy, a better score than any of his teammates. An efficiency that, this time, couldn’t bring three points.
