United lost to Stoke City (2-0) and fall behind in the race for the Premier. Mata started the game and played with confidence although he could not creat many chances. Chelsea visits Old Trafford next Monday.
Manchester United lost at the Britannia Stadium (2-0), in a game where things got complicated in the first half an hour. Before reaching the 30 minutes mark, Bojan and Arnautovic had both scored. Stoke´s start to the game became uncontrollable for United, where Mata started the game once more. It was the fifth consecutive match playing 90 min for the Asturian. He played on the right but he did not settle in the game, especially the minutes Stoke hold possesion of the ball.
Juan best actions were a great ball over the defence that Ander Herrera could not finish off, and a shot on goal near the end of the match blocked by Butland. Once more, Juan was the player with the best pass rate (88%) although non of them created any danger. Stoke managed to hold on to the result (2-0) and rewarded the fans with a deserved win.
The Red Devils will have the opportunity to put the defeat at the Britannia behind as United hosts Chelsea, Mata´s former team, at Old Trafford on Monday at 17.30 pm. Always a special clash for the Spaniard.
