Mata reaches the top 100 of Manchester United history

With his participation in the match against Crystal Palace (0-0), he reached 200 games with the Red Devils. He has scored 42 goals and 30 assists with the Old Trafford club (no one has equaled his numbers since joining United). This Tuesday, against Young Boys, United could secure the qualification for the last 16 of the Champions.

Juan Mata played 200 games with the Manchester United shirt. The Spanish international reached that great figure by starting the game against Crystal Palace in the 13th game-week of the Premier League. A tie, held at Old Trafford, in which ManU failed to beat an impressive Hennessey (0-0 at the end). In the first half, a great free kick from Juan was about to become the 1-0, but Smalling effort went wide. In the second half, the referee disallowed Lukaku´s goal as he was offside by inches.

Mata, who last season scored a good goal at the Palace in a 4-0 win at Old Trafford, played 60 minutes. Since his debut with the Red Devils, he is the United player who has directly participated in more goals. He has scored 42 goals and 30 assists since January 2014. The 200 clashes played with his current club make him enter the list of the 100 players with most games in ManU history.

Next United appointment will be on Tuesday against Young Boys at Old Trafford, on the fifth day of the group stage of the Champions League. A victory could certify the qualification for the last 16 (depends on what happens between Juventus and Valencia).
