Marcus Rashford put the Red Devils ahead from the penalty spot in the 25th minute; Michy Batshuayi, after a great individual action, scored the equaliser in the 61st minute and Chelsea, supported by their fans, looked poised to win the game. However, in the 73rd minute, Rashford again, with a stunning free-kick, beat Caballero and decided the match.
Juan Mata did not have any minutes against his former team in the stadium that was his home for two and a half seasons. The Spanish international will try to climb the ranks of United for Saturday clash against Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium. That day United will seek for their fourth consecutive victory, after those achieved against Partizan, Norwich and Chelsea.
