Sevilla stunts Manchester United

Montella’s men won at Old Trafford (1-2) after the 0-0 of the first leg. The Red Devils will focus now on the FA Cup. On Saturday they play Brighton in the quarter-finals.

Manchester United lost to Sevilla 1-2 and won’t be in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The tie was open after the nil-nil of the first leg, and the game was in stalemate until Ben Yedder made 0-1 in the 74 minute. Minutes later, Juan came on the pitch to try to play faster in the United attack to reverse the situation.

Ben Yedder scored the 0-2 in the 78 minute and complicated even more the situation. Mata’s impact on United attack was almost immediately. Lukaku nearly finished one of his passes. The Belgian striker took his revenge and scored for United in the minute 84. ManU didn’t give up until the final whistle but they couldn’t beat Sergio Rico.

Given the situation, United has to focus on the league and the FA Cup. In fact, this Saturday ManU will play for the semi-finals of the tournament against Brighton, a trophy Juan has won twice (2012 and 2016).
