The match against Tottenham, in which Juan did not participate, started badly for ManU. Dele Alli, in the 11th minute, put Spurs in front, but Alexis Sánchez (24 min) drew soon after. In the second half, Ander Herrera (62 min) scored the winner and unleashed the euphoria among United fans.

Mata, who has played an important role in the road of the Red Devils to the final – in the four previous ManU ties in the competition -, will fight to add another title to his spectacular list of winners on 19 May at Wembley. Before that special date, United will try to secure the second position in the Premier. Arsenal (29 April) will be the next rival in the league.
