United ease past Bournemouth and focus on the FA Cup

The Red Devils grabbed the three points against Bournemouth (0-2, goals from Smalling and Lukaku). On Saturday they will face Tottenham in the FA Cup semifinals. Mata is looking for his third title in the oldest tournament in the world.

Manchester United won Bournemouth (0-2) thanks to goals from Smalling (min 28) and Lukaku (min 70). The match, corresponding to the 35 gameweek of the Premier League, was played a few days early due to the FA Cup semifinal that the Red Devils will play on Saturday. These three points leaves ManU close to secure the second position in the league (only four league games left).

Juan Mata, who scored a goal in United’s last visit to Bournemouth, did not participate in the clash. On Saturday, he hopes to have a leading role against Tottenham at Wembley. It will be the last obstacle before the big final of the oldest tournament in the world.

The Spanish international, in the line-up in the four games that ManU has played in the current edition of the FA Cup, seeks to add another trophy to his excellent list of winners. A competition that he has conquered twice (2012 with Chelsea and 2016 with Manchester United).
