Juan Mata’s United took advantage in the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League by beating St-Étienne (3-0). The Red Devils took a great advantage at Old Trafford. A hat-trick from Ibrahimovic gave them the win in a tie in which Juan was once again in the line-up.

The Asturian, protagonist with his goals in recent matches, was close to continuing his streak. In the 24th minute, Ruffier saved Juan´s attemp. After a great pass from Pogba and an excellent run, Mata came up twice with the French goalkeeper, very quickly after his first intervention.

Juan left the pitch in the 70th minute with an ovation from the fans. Rashford came in replacing him. The second leg will be played on February 22, in which they must certify the pass to the last 16 of the Europa League.
