United losses its first game in the Champions

Juan, who was given some rest by Mourinho, didn’t participate in the midweek Champions clash against Basel (1-0). A draw would be enough for ManU to reach the last 16 as top of the group.

Manchester United lost their first game in the Champions after losing to Basel in Switzerland (1-0). Lang’s goal in the 89 minute gave the victory to the locals. Juan didn’t play. Mourinho gave him some rest thinking of the challenges ahead in the Premier, next Saturday against Brighton.

United created their best chances in the first half, hitting two posts (Fellaini and Rojo). Despite the defeat, ManU continues top of the group A with 12 points. In the last day of the group stage, United will host CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford. A draw will be enough to reach the next round of the competition as leader.
