Solskjaer's men beat Southampton 3-2 at Old Trafford thanks to Lukaku's goal in the 88 minute and took advantage of the draw between Tottenham and Arsenal. On Wednesday against PSG will play for its future in the Champions League.
Manchester United continues to escalate in the Premier League table. The Red Devils victory over Southampton 3-2 and the draw in the north London derby (1-1) allows ManU reach the fourth place on the table, the last place that gives access to the Champions League. Besides, Tottenham third on the table is within reach, just three points ahead (61 for Tottenham and 58 for United).
The game against Southampton was a game of stunning goals. Valery put the visitors in front in the 26 minute, but Pereira and Lukaku overcame the result 2-1 just after the break. Ward-Prowse scored the equaliser from a free-kick in the 75 minute but Lukaku made the winner in the 88 minute to leave the points at Old Trafford, when the game seemed to end in stalemate.
Juan Mata continues his recovery from an injury he suffered last weekend against Liverpool. He's working hard to be back, as soon as possible, with his teammates, who will face PSG in the second leg of the last 16 of the Premier League (0-2 in the first leg).
