Red Devils, with a good performance by Juan Mata, cameback after Rüdiger’s goal on the 21′ thanks to two goals from Martial on the second half. With 1-2 on the score, Mourinho got Juan Mata out for Ander Herrera. The International Spaniard received a standing ovation when he left the pitch, applauded by both Chelsea and United fans, two clubs in which he has left an indelible footprint.

After being protagonist with his set piece goal against Newcastle, Mata enjoyed being of great importance for his team. In fact, he collaborated in both visitors’ goals. The 1-1 came preceded by a shot from Mata that was rejected by Kepa with an excellent intervention. On the 1-2, Mata participated in the sequence before Martial’s goal. His contribution was acknowledged by United’s Twitter account, as they nominated him for the Man of the Match list of candidates.
The comeback against Newcastle and the performance given at Stamford Bridge let United confront Tuesday’s Champions League match in a positive way. Juventus will visit Old Trafford in a crucial match to get very near the Last 16 stage.
