Hi everyone,
I’m writing to you at the end of a quiet Sunday; rarely do we have a day like this in a football season. During the week I had the opportunity to spend a couple of days in Lake District. For those of you who don’t know this spectacular area, it’s a National Park near Manchester which is ideal to get lost and relax for a few days… I really like going to this kind of peaceful and quiet places whenever I can. They allow you to switch off from the daily routine and to enjoy nature.
Of course, we also had training sessions during the week. Very good days of work preparing our game in Old Trafford next Sunday. It’s true that the full team won’t be together until Thursday and I’m looking forward to that day, with all of us training, obviously with the idea of improving our game and getting better results.
Almost at the end of the transfer window we had a new signing. Not just a player, but a fantastic striker whose ability to score is extraordinary: Radamel Falcao. I am sure he will give a lot to our group, as a person and with his goals, and here I welcome him and I wish him the best for this season.
I would also like to wish good luck to my team-mates in the national team ahead of today’s game. The qualifying round for the Eurocup in France kicks off and I’m sure the fans in Valencia will help the team to start with a victory.
And the same with our basketball team, for I’m enjoying very much their games in the Basketball World Cup that is taking place in Spain. I hope they can lift the trophy and show, once again, that such a generation of players is just unique…
I say goodbye now. As always, I’m looking forward to the next game and to enjoy a victory that initiates a good run of results.
Hugs to all and thank you for being there!
Juan
