Juan started in ManU victory over Benfica (2-0). The Red Devils have won the four games played in group A. On Sunday Mata will face his former club, his first team in England.
Manchester United continues their winning run in the Champions. Mourinho’s men, with Mata in the starting XI, beat Benfica at Old Trafford (2-0) and added their fourth win in four games. Svilar (own goal) and Blind from the penalty spot were the scorers.
Mata, who has an 87% pass accuracy in the Champions, nearly scored in the 51 minute but his effort went wide. In the 67 min the fans at Old Trafford gave him a standing ovation when Juan was replaced by Ander Herrera.
United’s 12 points leave them with the first place of group A almost secured. Basilea and CSKA, with six points, are far enough for the Red Devils, that now will focus on the next challenge against Chelsea on Sunday. A very special game for Juan.
